ADATA has recently launched it’s the SD700 external SSD that is said to be lighter, quieter, more shock resistant, and more durable than HDDs while offering better portability and excellent performance.

This SSD is marketed at those who lead an active lifestyle and who want rugged devices to record their adventures, but at the same time place an emphasis on newer technology. ADATA says that It is also the best choice for outdoors enthusiasts with a preference for faster performance and an appreciation for the uniqueness of a durable SSD. The device comes with a faster performance which means larger files transfer quickly, saving users the annoying wait.

The SD700 uses new 3D NAND or stacked TLC Flash. The technology offers higher density, increased reliability, and better power efficiency compared to previous 2D NAND SSD. The device passes IEC IP68 specifications, thereby offering dust-tight protection and survivability in up to 1.5m of water for 60 minutes. The SD700 allows the sharing of documents, photos, videos, and presentations. In addition to being fast and strong, the SD700 overcomes digital barriers as multi-platform storage for more devices – from desktops to smartphones.
