Toshiba launches 4TB CANVIO portable HDD

Toshiba has announced a new addition to its family of Canvio external hard drives (HDDs), a 4TB option in its Premium, Advance, Basics and Ready series.

The 4TB HDD gives up to 33 per cent compared with 3TB extra storage for individuals and small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) they want to store large files and back up their data. Using a 1TB platter technology allows the 4TB Canvio models to maintain the same low profile design as the 3TB models.

All models support Windows and Mac operating systems and are compatible with both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 interfaces. Canvio HDDs combine a sleek, slim and stylish design with features such as a ramp-load design to prevent internal wear, plug-and-play functionality, and a range of more flexible capacity options of 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, and now 4TB.
