At its Surface event yesterday, Microsoft announced the launch of a new laptop and two new tablets in its surface series of products. These include one of the first tablets from the company with a Qualcomm processor along with one carrying Intel’s latest 10th Generation Intel Core processor.
The latest, Surface Pro X is the one carrying a Microsoft-custom Qualcomm Snapdragon SQ1 ARM processor inside. It promises to give two teraflops of graphics processing power.
Furthermore, it has a 12-inch screen however with 33 per cent lesser bezels it gives a feel of a 13-inch screen. Resolution provided is 2,880x1,920 for 267 pixels per inch- the PixelSense density. Thus, moving on to the stylus, the tablet’s keyboard will now also include pen docking for secure storage and charging for the new Slim Pen.

The other tablet was the Surface Pro 7 which has a 10th generation intel core processor. What is notable is however is that it now has both, the USB type A and USB C type ports now. It also has upto 10 hours of battery, 16 GBs of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage.

Last but not the least, Microsoft launched its Surface Laptop 3 yesterday. Speaking at the launch, Microsoft Chief Product Officer Panos Panay said this will be three times faster than the latest Macbook air. The superfast laptop is with equipped with the latest intel processor along with an AMD Ryzen Surface Edition graphics processor. It also has quicker charging with up to 80 per cent charge in less than an hour, utilising both intel and AMD’s best technology.
The laptop will have a 20 per cent larger track-pad and the keyboards have 1.3mm of travel, a 19mm pitch between keys and a subtle dish on the key.
