Students shine at Taekwondo championship in South Korea

Students from over 42 countries participated in the Championship.

Six students from EuroSchool Airoli bagged one gold, six silver and five bronze medals in the 11th World Culture Expo Taekwondo Championship held in Muju, South Korea recently. The total medal tally stood at 14. Students from over 42 countries participated in the Championship.

Grade VI student Krutika Chavan bagged gold and silver medals while Parth Jaiswal (grade VIII), Rujul Sachdev (grade VII), Krish Nadar (grade VII), Shahid Khan (grade V) and Hridaan Majhetia (grade III) bagged silver and bronze each.

EuroSchool Airoli Principal Sudeshna Chatterjee said, “We hope that international exposure enthuses our students to take up the Olympic- recognised sport at a professional level.”
