Ankit, Darshan shine in MG ‘Hexagone’ win
In the home encounter, Matunga Gymkhana romped to a 3-0 victory.
Darshan Shah and Ankit Thakkar were the star performers for Matunga Gymkhana ‘Hexagone’ defeating Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana ‘Star Boys’, by winning both the home and away encounters in contrasting fashion during the opening week of the Otters Club-Mumbai Snooker League (MSL) conducted by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra (BSAM).
In the home encounter, Matunga Gymkhana romped to a 3-0 victory. But faced some bit struggle in the away fixture as DPCG tried to exploit the home advantage. However, Darshan and Ankit ensured they won their matches to help Matunga Gym snatch a close 3-2 win and a bonus point for having won both ties.
Meanwhile, Santacruz ‘Sunrisers’ pulled off stunning hard-fought 3-2, 3-2 win against PJHG ‘Sea Biscuits’ (Hindu Gymkhana) in a Group-M match.
