Puneri Paltan are at the top of the table in the six-team Zone A of the Pro Kabaddi League after winnning their second consecutive match of the season on Friday night. Paltan prevailed over Dabang Delhi 26-21, as the season five action shifted to Nagpur for the first time. Rajesh Mondal scored eight raid points.

Both the teams started off with a few empty raids. The game became quite tense, with neither team willing to compromise and choosing to play in a rather stiff style. The king of do or die, Mondal, attacked successfully as Pune got the momentum to march ahead. Delhi came back in the game, but for not too long, as Pune had small lead at the end of first half.

The Pune side kept attacking and took control of the second half to widen the lead as the match progressed and maintained it till the end. Puneri Paltan had defeated U Mumba 33-21 on Day One of the League.

Dabang Delhi, too had started their season campaign with a victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers, but suffered a defeat on Friday. Earlier, Bengaluru Bulls captain Rohit Kumar scored 11 points to help his team register a 32-31 victory over Tamil Thalaivas.
