AIFF denies sacking of U-17 coach Nicolai Adam

The AIFF has denied that U-17 head coach Nicolai Adam has been sacked after reports emerged earlier suggesting otherwise.

Mumbai: The All India Football Federation has denied reports about the sacking of U-17 head coach Nicolai Adam.

AIFF president Praful Patel met Adam and the team who were on their way back to Goa from the Granatkin Memorial Tournament in Russia to discuss their performances as well as the way forward towards preparing a more competitive team for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

India's U-17 World Cup squad has been sent on long exposure tours by the AIFF to countries like Germany, Spain, South Africa, Norway, Brazil and Russia. The team is expected to resume practice on February 1 in Goa.
