They overturned Argentina's Diana Corleto Soto and Nikte Alejandra Sotomayor 21-10, 21-18.

Mumbai: Indian shuttler's Poorvisha S. Ram and Meghana Jakkampudi progress to round two of women's doubles at the BWF World Championship in Switzerland. They overturned Argentina's Diana Corleto Soto and Nikte Alejandra Sotomayor 21-10, 21-18.

They, along with Sai Praneeth, progressed to the second round. Others who will play today are Kidambi Srikanth, H S Prannoy and Sameer Verma for men’s singles.

There is also a possibility that PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal could face each other in the last-four after they got a bye in the first round.
