For both Steyn and Morkel, it will be a challenge to stop this line-up especially when they themselves will need to get into the groove.

Mumbai: Former South African wicket-keeper and current Sri Lankan coach, Nic Pothas has predicted India to pose a tough challenge to the Proteas in the upcoming Test series starting on January 5.

“They’ve got all bases covered. If you provide them with a green wicket, they’ve got the bowling to knock over other batting lineups. If you provide them with a flat wicket, they’ve got those bases covered as well. I watched the interview of Ravi Shastri and he rightly said it’s going to be batting vs batting. If the Indian batsmen score runs, then South Africa are going to find it very tough,” he said.

“In one-day cricket India are an elite unit. They are looking towards the future and trying to build a young team. They are a great team to watch and learn from,” Pothas added.
