Young guys like Hardik will learn that he needs to work harder,” Mumbai coach Mahela Jayawardene said.

Mumbai: Sunrisers Hyderabad leg-spinner Rashid Khan came back strongly against Mumbai Indians after getting pounded in the last two games against Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. When it seemed batsmen have started to pick up his variations, he produced a match-winning performance (2/11) against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.

“You don’t learn till you get hit. It’s a part of the game. Giving away 55 and 48 runs in the last two games helped me learn a lot,” Rashid said.

Rashid praised skipper Kane Williamson for his positive energy. “He is a great fighter. He kept the team motivated despite two back-to-back defeats. As the wicket wasn’t easy to bat, we believed in our bowling,” said Rashid.

‘Hardik needs to learn’ Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya has bowled some good spells, but he hasn’t really fired with the bat this season. On Tuesday, he managed just three runs in 19 balls. “Every year you can’t bat the same way, if people don’t evolve and improve, there is no progress. Young guys like Hardik will learn that he needs to work harder,” Mumbai coach Mahela Jayawardene said.
