Kuldeep Yadav recreates Shane Warne's 'Ball of the Century'
Mumbai: Kuldeep Yadav’s delivery to Pakistan’s Babar Azam during the India vs Pakistan match on Sunday got the best of the batsman with the amount of in-air drift and the after-bounce spin that the ball had.
After watching Babar walk back to the pavilion, fans couldn’t help but compare the perfect spin ball to the ball Shane Warne delivered to English batsman Mike Gatting 26 years ago, which turned a whole 14 degrees, completely misguiding the batsman, and went on to hit the stumps post the turn to earn the ‘Ball of the Century’ tag.

Now Kuldeep’s ball which had an in-air drift of 2.96 degrees combined with a spin of 5.8 degrees, was just as deadly with Babar having no clue how the ball slipped past his bat and went to strike down the bails. It was however the sudden drift in the air that did more damage than the spin.
