Mumbai: After India thumped Bangladesh by an innings and 130-runs, in the first of the two-match Test series, Indian captain Virat Kohli etched his name in the history books.

India rode high on young opener Mayank Agarwal’s double century (243) and Indian pacers’ performance, following which India demolished a depleted Bangladeshi side to gain lead a 1-0 in the two match series.

India registered their sixth straight win in the longest format after beginning their World Test Championship (WTC) campaign. Following the win against Bangladesh, India now have 300 points lead in the WTC rankings.

Nevertheless, during India's route to victory, skipper Virat Kohli wrote his name the record books by becoming the Indian captain with most number of innings win.
