ICC CWC'19: Fans lash out at Kevin Pietersen for jinxing KL Rahul
KL Rahul silenced his doubters by smashing a half-century against Pakistan. However, he got out to Wahab Riaz when he was batting on 57.
Mumbai: Team India suffered a massive blow when opener Shikhar Dhawan got injured during the game against Australia. Dhawan was ruled out for at least three or four games. However, it paved the way for KL Rahul to open the innings with Rohit Sharma against Pakistan.
KL Rahul had never opened the innings with Rohit Sharma in an ODI game before. But KL Rahul silenced his doubters by smashing a half-century against Pakistan. However, he got out to Wahab Riaz when he was batting on 57.
While he was batting, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen came up with an interesting tweet. “I love KL Rahul,” wrote the right-handed batsman in his tweet. But soon after this, the batsman got out and ended up disappointing one and all.

Pietersen was at the receiving end of criticism when KL Rahul got dismisses as soon as he published his tweet lauding the right-hander. Many fans said that KP jinxed KL with his tweet and expressed their frustration on Twitter.
