Panchal, Yadav lift Sporting

New Delhi: All-round displays by Vision Panchal (84, 4/30) and Lalit Yadav (99, 2/20) helped Sporting Club beat Wonders Club, Noida, by nine runs in the first Admiral Cricket Super League here on Wednesday.

Wonders Club won the toss and elected to field, and Sporting Club ended up posting 309/7 in 45 overs. Yadav’s 82-ball knock, with 10 boundaries and four sixes, was well complemented by Panchal 55-ball innings, studded with four boundaries and seven sixes.

In reply, Wonders Club came very close to reaching their target, aided by Parth Palawat’s 118 (103b, 4x7, 5x6). But they fell just short, halted at 300/9.
