Sports fraternity reacts to Yuvraj’s retirement

In 2011, both Yuvraj and Tendulkar made their dreams come true as India won their second World Cup after 28 years.

Mumbai:  Yuvraj endured a lot to reach the pinnacle, but, the journey to the peak was tough. However, during his journey to the top there were many setbacks. And, during those setbacks only, he had important people to back him up. Sachin was one of those people, who supported him during crisis.

After the 37-year-old announced his decision to retire, Master Blaster, Sachin thanked Yuvraj for his services. Yuvi entered the international cricket scenario after elevating the style quotient and swag which once used to be a sober dressing room through-out the 17 years. After the six sixers king announced his retirement, his twitter account got bombarded by praises from the cricket fraternity.

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted “What a fantastic career you have had Yuvi, you have come out as a true champ everytime the team needed you, the fight you put up through all the ups & downs on & off the field is just amazing. Best of luck for your 2nd innings & thanks for all that you have done for cricket.”

The Indian cricket god’s appreciation for Yuvi once again rekindled and brought back the cherished memories and friendship they shared during his entire career. In 2011, both Yuvraj and Tendulkar made their dreams come true as India won their second World Cup after 28 years. After India’s victory, Yuvraj and his team-mates carried Sachin on their shoulders.

Yuvraj’s announcement even tempted Indian tennis sensation, Sania Mirza to tweet, “You are a hero and a legend which the world knows bout – but the remarkable human that you are,and luckily we get to knw u in this next phase too..its an end of an era, but the beginning of so much more with the next chapter in ur life motuuu.. BEST always.”

After wife Sania Mirza tweeted the 2011 World Cup player of the tournament her husband and Pakistan cricketer, Shoaib Malik couldn’t control himself but tweet the former Indian cricketer,

 “Congratulations on your fantastic International career. Your strength and belief on and off the field is truly inspiring. Absolute legendary stuff. The Intl scene will miss you for sure but the pro scene welcomes the spark that you are.”
