Mumbai: The first Ashes test was a rollercoaster of a match, with the result swaying both ways on several encounters. But ultimately, it was the Aussies who snatched the victory away from the mouth of the Englishmen. After the initial English onslaught, everyone had counted the Aussies out of the game, but it was Steve Smith who dragged the Aussies out of a tough spot and posted a favourable total of 284.

Backed by Rory Burns’ fantastic century, England managed to lead by 90 runs. But the Aussies, by now had found their footing and were on their way for a massive total as Steve Smith and Matthew Wade, both, managed to hit centuries. They declared their innings at 487. England started their unsuccessful chase and bundled out for just 146.

There is a history of bad blood between the two teams and it wasn’t any different after this match. So, to chill things down a little ICC used a very different way. The Instagram handle of ICC uploaded a photo of Tim Paine and Joe Root in conversation with each other and asked the fans to give a caption to the uploaded photo. Here is the Instagram post.
