Bangladesh team on verge of breaking two historic records

Mumbai: Bangladesh, who came into the India series as underdogs have managed to stun the Men in Blue after defeating them in the first T20I match of the three-match series. They defeated India by seven wickets. Star batsman Mushfiqur Rahim stole the show for the Bangla Tigers with an unbeaten 60 runs off 43 balls.

In the second match, Bangladesh have the opportunity to achieve what no other team has managed to achieve against India. If the visitors manage to win the second T20I that would take place in Rajkot, then they would become the first side to beat India in a three-match bilateral series at home.

Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad is also on the verge of creating history as he is just two sixes away from hitting a half-century of sixes in T20I. Upon completion of this record, he would become the first Bangladeshi to achieve this feat.

The only cause of concern for the Bangladeshis is that their two players had vomited on the field during the first T20I held in New Delhi, according to a report by ESPN Cricinfo. One amongst the two players was the talismanic Soumya Sarkar. All eyes will be on him to make a fit return against India for the second match.
