Disney+ Hotstar says IPL fans can't watch matches without subscribing to its annual plans

The Disney+ Hotstar VIP package costs Rs 399 for 12 months and Disney+ Hotstar Premium Rs 1,499 for 12 months.

Mumbai: Streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar on Saturday said only its annual subscription users will be able to watch all live Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches. The 13^th edition of IPL T20 cricket tournament is starting from September 19 in the UAE.

Those who subscribe monthly will not be able to watch the cricketing gala.

The Disney+ Hotstar VIP package costs Rs 399 for 12 months and Disney+ Hotstar Premium Rs 1,499 for 12 months.

Disney+ Hotstar VIP has tied up with telecom service providers Jio and Airtel through which users can subscribe to the OTT platform.

Both partners will offer prepaid recharge plans bundled with a 12-month subscription to Disney+ Hotstar VIP. The plans can also be bought at Jio and Airtel retail stores.
