Mumbai: Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh took a dig at former Australia wicket-keeper by asking him to 'stop crying' over his dismissal during Singh's historic hat-trick at Eden Gardens in 2001.

Twitter errupted as soon as Jasprit Bumrah removed Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase off successive deliveries. He became the third Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to scalp a hat-trick in Test cricket.

However, Adam Gilchrist took a dig at Harbhajan Singh's hat-trick as he was dismissed leg before wicket but replays showed that the ball was hitting his bat first.

He tweeted in response to a video of the historic moment and wrote that there was no Decision Review System (DRS) available at that time along with a sad emoji.

Harbhajan Singh responded to Gilchrist's jibe on Wednesday by tweeting, "U think u would have survived for long if not first ball ? Stop crying over these things mate..thought u would talk sense after ur playing days.. but few things never change u r the prime example of that. Always crying."
