Multiple-time Harris Shield and Giles Shield champions Rizvi Springfield HS began their cricket season on a bright note as their U-14 and U-16 teams registered wins in the Inter-School cricket tournament Suburban finals of District Sports Office.
In the games, played at the Sunder Cricket Club wicket at Cross Maidan, the U-14 of Rizvi Springfield got the better of Swami Vivekanand School, Borivili, followed by the U-16 boys defeating Kurla's Al Barkat HS.

The senior boys had it easy too as they overhauled the 107-run total made by Al Barkat in 13.1 overs with Faizan Rabbani stealing the limelight with an unbeaten 60 not out that included four boundaries and two sixes.
