Incisive bowling by Aman Khatri (3/20) and Aman Sehrawat (2/21) helped Ajmal Khan Club beat Lala Ram Charan Club by 55 runs in the quarter-final of the first Vishnu Swaroop Tripathi Memorial cricket tournament at the Tripathi Oval in the capital on Friday. 

Batting first, man of the match Dinesh struck 65 as Ajmal Khan Club posted 247/8 in 40 overs. Dinesh Dabas (41) and Virender Dahiya (39) were other notable contributors from the side. Nitin Basoya and Prince Chaudhary took three wickets each for Lala Ram Charan Club.

In chase, Pratyush Singh (54) led the way for Lala Ram Charan Club but could not see his team through as they folded up for 192 in 37.4 overs. Khatri and Sehrawat shared the spoils for Ajmal Khan Club. Ayush Badoni added 34 while Prateek Bhati chipped in with an unbeaten 32.
