At an event in New York City, Samsung gave its stalwarts the big-screened “phablet” Galaxy Note 8, along with an S Pen.
The Note 8, as it was widely reported, comes with a little larger display than the Galaxy S8. The phone sports a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED quad HD display with 29060 x 1440 pixel resolution.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835/ Exynos octa core SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage option that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, Note 8 is featuring a dual camera 12MP sensor on the back and an 8MP sensor selfie shooter.
The Galaxy Note8 offers a choice of biometric authentication options—including iris and fingerprint scanning.
Both the phone and the S Pen resist water and dust, and certified with IP685 rating. Samsung claims, “one can write even when the display is wet.”
The phone also supports wireless charging to fuel its 3,3000mAh battery.
Samsung has not officially disclosed Note 8’s price, but carriers across US they will begin taking pre-orders for the unit at a price around $960 (approx. Rs 61,512).
Galaxy Note 8 will be available in two colour option --- Midnight Black and Orchid Grey.
