My relationship with my grandmother Krishna Narang was really very special to me. It has been the one bond closest to my heart since I was a child. Since both my parents have been working, I spent most of my time at home with her, I used to call her ‘mumma’ and she was the most loving grandmother anyone can ask for. She was so beautiful and elegant too! Our relationship was more of a friendship — she pampered me by cooking different kinds of food for me, telling me stories and life incidents... we would also watch a lot of films together.
She is not with us anymore, we lost her in 2005, but I still feel that she is close to me. She wanted me to become an actor, and maybe wherever I am today is because of her blessings and teachings.
