Olympic medallists Yogeshwar Dutt and Sushil Kumar were the major draws at the auction for the forthcoming Pro Wrestling League– ProSportify to be held from December 10 to 27, at a city hotel here on Tuesday.

While Dutt was snapped up by the Haryana franchise for Rs 39.70 lakh, Sushil went to the Uttar Pradesh outfit for marginally less, at a Rs 38.20 lakh price-tag. Ukraine’s Okas-ana Herhel however topped all the bids drawing Rs 41,30,000 from the Haryana team.

Over 50 Indian and international players went under the hammer at the auction and attended by representatives of the six teams. The bidding teams were New Delhi (GMR Group), Bengaluru (JSW Group), Punjab (CDR Group and Dharmendra Deol), UP (Lotus Greens), Haryana (Olive Global) and Mumbai (Maverick Garducharya Industries and Mafatlal Industries).

The format has one marquee player per team, bidding for won was opened at Rs 30 lakh. The franchisees battled it out for London silver winner Sushil, London bronze winner Yogeshwar, besides the likes of Amit Kumar, Geeta Phogat, Babita Kumari, Geetika Jakhar, Bajrang Kumar and Vinesh.

Besides the two headliners, Adeline Gray went to Mumbai for Rs 37.00 lakh, Narsingh Yadav to Bengaluru for Rs 34.50 lakh, Geeta Phogat to Punjab for Rs 33.lakh.
