Hollywood actress Meryl Streep took a shot at the guise of Donald Trump and she nailed it.

The Oscar winner showed up at the the Public Theatre 2016 Gala in Central Park, New York, on Monday night donning an orange face, a fat suit, a long tie and a face full of fake tan to play Trump, reports news.com.au. In a perfect timing with Hillary Clin-ton’s primary win, the 66-year-old actress teamed up with fellow actress and Mamma Mia co-star Chri-stine Baranski, dressed as Hillary Clinton, to perform Brush Up Your Shakespeare from Cole Porter’s Broadway hit Kiss Me, Kate. Brush up your Shak-espeare, traditionally sung by male gangsters in the classic musical based on The Taming of the Shrew, advises men on how to woo women by reciting lines from Shakespeare. You’ll let me know, why all the women say no, Streep sang during the annual event paying tribute to playwright William Shakespeare. The two actresses also chan-ged lyrics of the original song.

Streep issued a statement to the New York Times through a public theatre spokeswoman on Tuesday afternoon saying, "I appreciate the interest, but this was a one-off, a once in a (last in a) lifetime appearance of this character.”
