It’s been a while since 90s Bollywood and pop hits have been recreated and included in soundtracks for new films. While Kala Chasma struck a chord with the audience, the new version of A. R. Rahman’s popular ‘Humma Humma’ by rapper Badshah sparked outrage among netizens.

Rahman had raised eyebrows a while back when he asked people to tweet new lyrics relevant to present times for another memorable song ‘Urvasi Urvasi’. Now he is back with a bang as he rocked the song with new lyrics on MTV Unplugged.

Soon after the video was released online last evening, the internet is going gaga over it as it has gone viral. The song was performed in Tamil and lyrics had a bit of everything from Trump to demonetisation.

Taking the best from Twitter responses for his appeal for new lyrics, A.R Rahman wowed music lovers with lyrics like "Ainooru ruba sellama pona, take it easy policy" (If the Rs. 500 note becomes useless, take it easy policy). "Donald Trump president aana, take it easy policy" (If Donald Trump becomes president, take it easy policy).

The video already has over a million views on Facebook and has been shared close to 60,000 times.
