Himesh Reshammiya and wife Komal part ways, file for divorce

Mumbai: Himesh Reshammiya is currently in the news for his album 'Aap Se Mausiiquii', getting Salman Khan's rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur for a song and Amitabh Bachchan for the album launch. But on the personal front, things are not that favourable for the actor-music director.

Himesh and his wife Komal, who were married for 22 years, have decided to end their marriage and filed for divorce on Tuesday at a Bandra family court.

“Sometimes in life, mutual respect becomes the most important, and giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and I have amicably decided to part ways... There is no problem whatsoever with this decision among us and our family as every member respects it. Yet, Komal is and will always remain a part of our family and I will always be a part of her family,” Himesh told mid-day.

Komal said, “Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going ahead with this decision to part ways, but mutual respect will always be there between us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same stands for him towards my family.”

The couple has a son Shivam and they reportedly plan to raise him together.

According to the report, Himesh and Komal were not living together since the past few months and an extramartital affair seems to be the reason behind Himesh’s decision.

Himesh was romantically linked to television actress Sonia Kapoor few years back.

The news comes on the heels of other couples Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan and Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar also announcing their separation earlier this year.
