Truck on wrong side crashes into mini-bus near Jabalpur; officials rush to site
Seven people returning from the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to Andhra Pradesh lost their lives in a tragic accident on Tuesday morning when their mini-bus collided with a truck near Sihora town, about 65 km from Jabalpur.
The accident occurred around 8:30 am, Jabalpur Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena confirmed. According to eyewitnesses, the truck was driving on the wrong side of the highway, leading to the fatal crash. Seven persons died on the spot, while several others were trapped inside the mini-bus, officials said.
Following the accident, the collector and Jabalpur's superintendent of police rushed to the site to oversee rescue operations. Authorities are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited.
