Melody Matters
A white-collar executive by day and a metal vocalist by night, Devraj Sanyal seems to have struck a dream work-life balance.

The song you’re listening to on loop
Adele’s Hello and Justin Bieber’s Sorry — both in equal measure.
Five songs in the soundtrack of your life:
Sad But True by Metallica, The Devil & I by Slipknot, Crazy by Seal, Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb and Dream Theatre’s Pull Me Under. These songs depict the kind of CEO I am, the husband and the father I am — aggressive at work, loving as a family man and a kind soul who always will be on the right side of things till I’m forced into a corner for the wrong reasons and then I’m the Devil.
Something you’d love to listen to as a teenager and you are now embarrassed by it
None really. Since I run a music business my tastes are so varied, that my sum of all parts of music is everything from my dad’s collection to present day Electronica. I love them all and still listen to LPs that my dad bought for me when I was 4.
How would you describe your taste in music Eclectic and esoteric, which is contrarian by themselves but also a massive diverse range in terms of genres. I’m possibly also the largest owner of music I know, so it’s all good. If you could have one band/ a musician perform a private concert for you, which would you choose It would have to be Seal. I absolutely love him I’ve watched more bands than most but always missed watching him sometimes by a hair and a few hours. I would want him to play for me. The one live act you would love to see at least once The Foo Fighters.
