Singer Shankar Mahadevan suffered a heart scare on Sunday due to which his concerts, to be held later this month in Rajkot, are likely to be cancelled. Shankar was hospitalised immediately in Delhi and is currently recuperating.
Bandmate and close friend Ehsaan Noorani said, “Shankar suffered some discomfort, and there was fear of a heart scare due to which he was hospitalised but he’s better now. The problem was mainly exhaustion. He has been advised rest, he is recuperating well. The concert is most likely to be cancelled but we haven’t confirmed that yet.”
The singer had previously attended finance minister Arun Jaitley’s daughter Sonali’s sangeet on Saturday night.
