To boost Mumbai’s nightlife and make the city a popular tourist destination by creating special nightlife entertainment zones in non-residential areas, Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray will inaugurate the first India Nightlife Convention and Awards on Sunday.
At the Convention to be held in the city, Mr Thackeray will address the audience to discuss his plans to revive its nightlife, by pushing for amendment of the necessary laws. Earlier, Mr Thackeray’s proposal to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to promote nightlife in Mumbai was ridiculed and criticised by the opposition Congress-NCP, as well as Shiv Sena’s ally in the BMC, the BJP.
However, in another attempt at reviving Mumbai’s nightlife, Mr Thackeray will be a keynote speaker at the first ever India Nightlife Convention & Awards 2016 taking place on September 25 and 26, 2016 at St. Regis in Mumbai.
