When the matter come up for hearing, the court came to know that the committee did not get any information from Children Aids Society, which is an NGO that looks after the condition of Mankhurd shelter home.

Justice Oka then asked the state to file an affidavit and explain the role of Children Aids Society at the Mankhurd shelter home.

The committee in its report has recommended many suggestions for improving the condition of children home in the city, including construction of a wall around the two buildings, which is essential for the security of the children, and renovations of shelter home buildings.

The court then directed the state government to file an affidavit stating when the state would implement the suggestions of the committee. The petition has been posted for hearing on July 20.
