Wait for winter gets longer
If you are wondering why it’s still hot in mid-November, longing to feel the cold waves soon, your wait just got longer by 7-10 days.

If you are wondering why it’s still hot in mid-November, longing to feel the cold waves soon, your wait just got longer by 7-10 days. Due to delay in wind flow from the East, winter has been delayed this year by almost a month.
On Sunday, the city recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 36 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively, with relative humidity of 88 per cent. However, in comparison to Saturday at 37 degree Celsius, the temperature in the city fell by a degree. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai, the temperature will fall further from Monday.
As per the forecast, in the coming week, the maximum and minimum temperatures will be 35 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively. After November 17, the sky will be partly cloudy and there are chances of thunder.
“This month, the wind flow has been delayed so we are experiencing the heat. In the next 7-10 days the wind from East will settle down in the West which will lower the temperature,” said V.K. Rajeev, director of IMD.
Meanwhile, Mumbaikars waiting for winter have taken to social media platforms to express their eagerness. On Saturday, Twitter user @mitzyeah said: November’s here, but Mumbai is sweltering hot! Doesn’t feel like winter at all. #weather #Mumbai #fail
Another user @thewanderingowl posted a picture of an AC with a caption: ‘So this is finally here! Everybody talks about #Mumbai monsoons, but nobody mentioned the bloody heat!
