Traffic police constable injured in collision dies
A traffic police constable who was injured after being hit by a motorcycle bike rider on Sunday night, died on Tuesday morning.

A traffic police constable who was injured after being hit by a motorcycle bike rider on Sunday night, died on Tuesday morning. His last rites were performed with state honours in Chembur crematorium. His family and colleagues are disturbed with untimely death that too in a road accident.
Nitin Parab, 52, the deceased constable, was on duty near Matunga traffic division around 9.30 pm and was crossing the road to man traffic on the other side. At this time, 24-year-old accused Vinod Kadlag who was riding his Honda X motorcycle rammed into him after losing control of his motorbike.
“Doctor said that he had four factures in his body, in addition to head injury. He was in shock, because of which his blood pressure was unstable. On Tuesday morning he took his last breath,” a police official said.
Parab stayed near Chembur with his son and wife. He was the only earning member in his family. His school-going son is in his 11th standard.
The police had immediately arrested the accused on the spot. According to a police officer, some members of the public and other policemen held the biker who skidded his bike after injuring Parab. The accused, who is a resident of Antophill, has been sent to police custody for the next seven days.
