The state board could soon be following the curriculum and pattern of CBSE schools. In a bid to make secondary and higher secondary education uniform across the country, the HRD ministry had held a meeting of various board heads wherein it has asked for suggestions on making the school education system uniform across the country.

Throwing light on the meeting which he attended, Gangadhar Mhamane, chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), said that the meeting held by the HRD ministry last month stressed on the need for having a uniform school education system and heads of all state and central boards were present for the meeting. “It was unanimously agreed that a standard format, pattern of exam, date of exams and declaration of results should be adopted for all boards,” Mr Mhamane said.
