The Borivali Metropolitan Court number 26 on Wednesday directed senior police inspector of Borivali police station to conduct an investigation under section 156 (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure against actress Dolly Bindra and 10 others, on complaints filed by controversial godwoman, Radhe Maa’s aide, Sanjeev Gupta.

The court directed the complainant to provide all documents and material related to his complaint to Borivali police station as well. Borivali police station officials said that within two to three days, they can register an FIR in the matter too. Meanwhile, the probe has been started.

A Borivali police station official said, “We have received the court order, and the probe has been started. Earlier in 2015, Mr Gupta had approached the Borivali court to file a complaint against actress Dolly Bindra and 10 others. The court has passed order of inquiry into this case.” However, he refused to comment on the FIR process and give any date for it.

In August last year, Mr Gupta filed a complaint with Borivali police station alleging that he had received several extortion calls from an unidentified person, demanding as much as Rs 10 crore. Mr Gupta also claimed that he had received several threat calls. He said that the caller had told him that after receiving the money, all anti-Radhe Maa reports would stop. Thereafter, Mr Gupta moved court and submitted call recordings there.

When contacted, Mr Gupta said, “I am not sure as of now as I have not seen a copy of the court order yet. As it is with my lawyer, my lawyer is looking into the matter.”

Meanwhile, Ms Bindra said, “We respect the court order and we are ready for inquiry as it will reveal the truth. All these are games being played by them to save Radhe Maa but I will not accept unlawful acts and will raise my voice till the end. It’s a false case and there is no evidence against us. We have even filed a writ petition, demanding CBI inquiry. Truth shall prevail. They are just putting pressure on us.”
