The special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Monday reprimanded jail authorities for not producing Shyamwar Rai, former driver of prime accused Indrani Mukerjea, before the court and directed it to produce him and all other accused on May 11. In the meantime, the court also warned key accused Indrani Mukerjea to take medicines as per the instructions given by her doctors in jail.

When the sensational Sheena Bora murder case came up for hearing before the special CBI judge H.S. Mahajan, the court was informed that Rai was not brought to the court. Taking serious note of this, the judge said, “I will have to initiate contempt proceedings.” The judge also directed the jail officials to keep him present before the court on May 11. The court is likely to hear an application moved by Rai on May 11.

The court also directed prison authorities to keep Indrani, her husband and former media baron Peter Mukerjea and her former husband Sanjeev Khanna present in court on the next date of hearing.

The judge directed Indrani to follow instructions of the jail authorities following a complaint received from the jail saying that she has not been taking her medicines for blood pressure.

“Aapko kuch hoga toh kya hoga (what will happen if something happens to you) Take care,” the judge told Indrani. The judge said, “I have received a complaint from the jail authorities saying that you refuse to take medicines and you are continuously walking in the barracks.”

Indrani told the court that her pressure was low, and her lawyer assured the court that she would follow the court’s directions.

Meanwhile, the court also directed the CBI to file its written submission on Peter’s bail plea on May 13 failing which, the court said, it would fix the matter for the order.

Peter has filed second bail plea in the court, as it rejected his first bail application. In his second application he has put all the blame for the murder on his wife and has said that he was unaware of Sheena’s murder. According to him, he did not have any reason to kill Sheena.
