A petition has been filed against criminals and politicians being appointed to the managing committee of Shirdi Sai Sansthan. A businessman, Surinder Arora, has filed the petition.
It says that on July 28, the law and judicial department of Maharashtra had appointed the members of Shirdi Sai Sansthan committee, which included builder and politician Suresh Haware, Chandrashekhar Kadam, Dr. Manisha Kayande and other local politicians.
The petition alleged that these appointments involved favouritism.
According to it, the appointments are contrary to the Acts concerned and Members of Management Committee and Forms of Declaration Rules, 2013.
The petitioner alleged that there were 16 members who previously misused the trust’s money and vehicles. Mr Arora also said that earlier committees in which political persons were involved never worked for the interest or welfare of the sansthan, and instead acted as if they were its owners. The HC has kept Wednesday as the next date for hearing this petition.
