Passengers at the domestic terminal 1B of the Mumbai airport were in for a scare when an advertisement banner aparently slipped off the hands of a worker and fell off.

According to airport sources, no passenger was injured in the incident. However, a few of them complained about the incident to the airport authorities. The incident occurred around 5 am Friday. According to sources, the banner was being fixed on the wall near the security check area of the terminal and it fell down suddenly, startling passengers.

Sources said the banner slipped from the hands of the worker who was fixing it to the wall. “As the area where the banner fell down is the security hold area, several people were standing there and panicked when the 7-feet-long hoarding fell down. As it could have caused injuries to the passengers, they started creating a ruckus after the incident. Passengers were shouting at authorities saying they should make proper arrangements to put up hoardings as such incidents can cause severe harm,” an airport source said.
