According to the Met department’s prediction, the cool weather is here to stay for the next two days.

Post noon a few parts of Mumbai received brief showers with moderate rainfalls in parts of Navi Mumbai. In a press release, the Met department predicted unseasonal rains and hailstorms in districts such as Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar in central Maharashtra and Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Nanded, Osmanabad, Latur, Parbhani and Hingoli in Marathwada.

A state government release has advised people in rural areas to move livestock and harvested crops to safer places. Nashik city and surrounding areas too experienced unseasonal showers this evening.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees and minimum 23.2 degrees. With this, Mumbaikars can expect cooler temperature with changing wind pattern.

While social media savy Mumbaikars posted the rain-drenched picture of the city and expressed their relief from the heat on Twitter. Divya Palat @divyapalat tweeted a picture of Marine Drive with the caption ‘#NovemberRain #Mumbai #MarineDrive #Drizzle’. Another person, Rohit Ahuja @TheManWhoCooks posted ‘#mumbai rains sweet smell of mud and hot soup with a tinge of oregano’.
