MNS corporator threatens to kidnap civic officer over inaction on potholes

In yet another controversial attempt to draw attention of civic official towards civic problems, Sandeep Deshpande, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena party leader in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has threatened to “kidnap” a civic official if he fails to tackle pothole problems in his ward.

In a letter written to G-North ward officer, the MNS corporator from Dadar made the threat last week. “I have written to the officer concerned and warned to kidnap him if the issue of potholes is not solved. But try to look at the reasons why I was forced to remind the officer in such a way,” he said.

However, ward officer Ramakant Biradar said he is attending to the problems of the residents and repairing potholes is the priority.
