For the first time RBI governor Raghuram Rajan will address Mantralaya officials in the YB Chavan Memorial Lecture on Monday, April 25.
For the first time RBI governor Raghuram Rajan will address Mantralaya officials in the YB Chavan Memorial Lecture on Monday, April 25. In the lecture organised by Indian Institute of Public Administration’s state branch, Mr Rajan will be speaking on ‘Starting Up India’.
“Every year we hold YB Chavan Memorial lecture in Mantralaya. This year, we have invited RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan to which he has agreed. The topic ‘Starting Up India’ is chosen by him,” chief secretary Swadheen Kshatriya said. After the lecture, Mr Rajan will also interact with the audience and answer to queries.
The B.G. Deshmukh Memorial lecture organised by Indian Institute of Public Administration on April 4 came into controversy, as former IAS officer Madhav Godbole was invited to deliver a lecture where he chose a topic ‘Is India A Secular Nation ’ The programme was abruptly cancelled later.
