A police search is on for a man who gave a bomb hoax call to Sanskar College in Malad, where his wife works, following a domestic dispute in which she stopped talking to him. The police said this is the second time in a month that the accused has made such a call.

According to sources, the accused, whose name has been withheld by the investigation team of the Kurar police, is an alcoholic and this led to several domestic fights between him and his wife.

On Tuesday too, the couple had an argument and the wife stopped talking to her husband and left for work, which irritated the accused, said officials. According to officials, Sanskar College is in Kurar village of Malad.

The accused, under the influence of alcohol, later went to Kurar police station to lodge a complaint against his wife, but the police avoided giving him attention and he left the spot. Following this he visited a telephone booth and called the police control room and made a threat about a bomb in Sanskar College. The police dispatched a bomb detection team along with sniffer dogs to the spot to check the area, but they failed to find anything.

Officials later visited the telephone booth from where the threat call was made, only to discover that the caller was the man who had visited the police station in the morning.

The police has made a diary entry of the case and is searching for the man. According to officials, the accused had made a bomb hoax call to the police control room earlier on August 9 too, following a fight with his wife.
