On the same day however, my wife got a call that he was coming back with some villagers who insisted that he join them in the Tavera. As these people were coming to Borivali, he decided to return with them.”

“We didn’t know about the incident till the next day. He was expected to return in the morning but when he did not come back till afternoon, we started calling everyone. That’s when we came to know that he was in the Tavera which fell in the Mahad bridge collapse,” said Ankush. For the past three days, Dattaram’s family is continuously visiting Mahad in the hope that they will find the other relatives who were there in the Tavera.
