Lawyer wants police to lodge FIR against Radhe Maa
There is fresh trouble for Radhe Maa, as a woman lawyer has approached the Bombay high court seeking direction to the police to lodge a first information report against the ‘godwoman’ on charges of cheating, obscenity and hurting religious sentiments.
Advocate Falguni Brahmbhatt filed a petition in the high court and sought directions for the police. The lawyer said she moved the court as the suburban Borivali police did not take any action on a complaint filed by her. She has said that she approached the police five days ago and asked the police to take action against Radhe Maa, however till now the police has not taken any action.
The petitioner has alleged that Radhe Maa has cheated innocent people and has also hurt the religious sentiments of people and her acts are obscene. The petition would come up for hearing in due course.
The Mumbai police had last week registered a case against her after a woman alleged that Radhe Maa instigated her in-laws to harass her for dowry. The police has summoned the godwoman for questioning but so far her statement has not been recorded.
