The Tulinj police in Nallasopara area registered a case against a man who, on the pretext of offering women jobs at a hi-end hotel, forced them to dance at a bar.

According to police sources, the accused had put out a job advertisement on e-commerce portal Quikr.com for young women to work as hotel managers at a hi-end hotel in Bengaluru.

The complainant, a resident of Tulinj, came across the advertisement and called the number provided on the portal.

According to police, the complainant is a 20-year-old married woman, who worked as an event manager in Tulinj area.

The person who posed as the employment agent told the victim they would pay her Rs 50,000 a month for the post of hotel manager and that they needed three more girls for the position.

The victim informed three other friends and all the four women mailed their pictures to the email id provided in the advertisement as requested.

Later, they got a job confirmation call, and left for Bengaluru from Borivali on March 8. In Bengaluru, they were received by a person who took them to a small room on the outskirts of the city.

They then came to know that the person who received them wanted them to dance at a local bar. When the women tried to resist, they were threatened and forced to dance in a bar.

Earlier this week, the women managed to escape from the bar, reached Mumbai and registered a complaint.
