Dilip kumar to be under 3-days observation

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar who was admitted at a Bandra Hospital on late Friday night after he complained of chest pain and breathing problem, is recovering well and will be discharged soon.

“We have conducted few tests on him and the results are satisfactory. His health condition has improved. However, we will conduct few more tests to confirm about his health. He will be kept under observation for the next three days,” said Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital, where the 93-year-old actor is admitted.

Earlier, on Saturday, doctor said that the next 48 hours would be crucial considering his age.

On Monday, the official Twitter handle of the actor said, “By God’s grace feeling brighter and better. Thank you all for your prayers, love and affection.” Also, a smiling photograph of his was shared on Twitter.

Several actors like Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about his good health on Monday.

His wife, actress Saira Banu had earlier said to a news agency that he would be discharged on Tuesday as his health is stable. On Saturday, she tweeted saying that he was hospitalised as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection and respiratory problems.

“Oral drugs would not act as fast as the IV injections, the doctors advised. Hence it became necessary to shift him to a hospital. He is recovering well and is stable by the grace of God and the care of the doctors treating him,” Ms Banu said in the tweet. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
