Taking a dig at chief minister Devendra Fadnavis’ prompt reaction to actor Kapil Sharma’s tweet where he assured the latter he would take action, Congress has planned to start a ‘Twitter agitation’ to apprise him of the common people’s grievances.
Mr Sharma on Friday complained on his Twitter handle that Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials had asked him for a bribe for the construction of the second floor of his office. Replying to him, CM Fadnavis assured him that he had asked the civic body to look into the matter.
Commenting on this exchange, Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant said, “It seems the CM takes notice of complaints only on social media. So, we will start a Twitter agitation asking the people to share their grievances with the CM on Twitter so that he solves their problems on a priority basis.”
“There are several problems in the state, but no one is bothered about them. Farmers are being forced to dump their onions, there has been a rise in attacks on the police and farmers are committing suicide. But nowhere was urgency shown to attend to these issues,” he said.
