Congress to display ‘BJP corruption’
The Opposition has decided to target chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in the Monsoon Session of the State Legislature.

The Opposition has decided to target chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in the Monsoon Session of the State Legislature. Meanwhile, Congress on Monday will protest the ‘failure’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in an unique way; the party will inaugurate an exhibition of corrupt ministers and distribute a kilo of onions for free to visitors .
With the Monsoon Session slated to begin on Monday, if the Opposition walks the talk, it will be indeed be a stormy first week. A Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) insider said that it had planned to attack Mr Fadnavis as being the parent of the state Cabinet, he was responsible for corruption in most departments through the concerned ministers.
“Tribal development minister Vishnu Savara’s corruption in procurement of raincoats, Pankaja Munde’s
Take Home Ration (THR) scam, Sambhaji Nilangekar-Patil’s probe by the CBI, Jaykumar Rawal’s probe by the CID and Girish Mahajan’s land scam are a few points that will be sufficient to target the Fadnavis-led BJP-Shiv Sena government,” said the insider on condition of anonymity.
NCP plans to focus on Ms Munde’s THR issue and one of the party legislators said that it was unnecessary to go to the Cabinet to take a decision on THR.
“Once the government resolution was published and it was decided to allocate work of THR to women bachat gats (self-help groups) it was taken back and again, the issue was sent to the Cabinet, which cannot happen without the consent of the chief minister. So, the chief minister will be the target,” he said.
Lader of the opposition in the state Legislative Council, Dhananjay Munde, said that the floor management strategy would be decided in a meeting of group leaders of the party.
“The group leaders will meet Sunday morning and we will decide what issues should be raised in the monsoon session,” said Mr Munde.
Former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said, “We are also meeting on Sunday and the leader will decide on the issues.”
