On Monday, the temperature remained the same at 35.2 degrees Celsius, just like on Sunday. As per the forecast of the meteorology department, the temperature is going to be the same with no sign of rainfall.

Many pocket areas of Mumbai are facing acute shortage of water and eagerly awaiting rainfall but for the next days, the weather will remain dry with the temperature fluctuating between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at Santa Cruz at 35.2 degrees Celsius, which was 1.9 degrees above the normal temperature.

While the minimum temperature recorded was 21 degrees Celsius with only 50 per cent humidity. “The wind is fluctuating so the temperature will remain high for the next few days,” said V. K. Rajeev, director, western region, India Meteorological Department.
